Step 1: Complete Program Eligibility Form

• Access the ESE Information System portal with  your work email

  • If you have not applied for a credential through VCOE before, you will need to click on the blue "Register Now" button and sign up using the email listed above.
    If you have applied for a credential through VCOE before, log in using the email listed above.

• When choosing the purpose of your registration, be sure to choose "DSC Preliminary: Educator Applying for a DSC Preliminary Credential (CTE, Adult Education, or Special Subjects)"

• IMPORTANT! At the end of the form, be sure to follow instructions to register and pay for your course using Canvas Catalog. 

Step 2: Register for your Online Course through Canvas Catalog

• Click on the button for your program at the end of the Eligibility Form - this will take you to Canvas Catalog

• Make sure to register for  the correct Preliminary Application course based on the credential you are applying for. 

• If you do not have an ESE Canvas Account:

  • Complete the information on the form to sign up for an account

  • Please type in your first and last name for the "Full Name" field

• If you already have an ESE Canvas Account:

  • Click on the "already have an account? Sign in here" button

  • Log in with your VCOE Canvas Username and password

  • If it is not working, please use the "Forgot Password" option on the login page
